Who is this Woodstock?

Glad you asked! Well, my name is Woody Chipman and I just finished college way back in the spring of 2005. Most recently I just finished a Masters in Pastoral Studies (roughly equivalent to a 1/3 of an M.Div.) through various seminaries. God has been gracious so far in allowing me to have this much schooling in my life and He knows that I needed every bit of it.

I live in Philadelphia, PA. I will be working with Grace Bible Church through the ministry of Urban Imperative. It is my desire to take what I am learning at Grace to use it in my life as I prepare for future ministry, hopefully church planting in the inner city. I help as the administrative assistant to the preaching pastor, Ian McConnell. And I also work on the leadership team of our Grace 180 youth outreach program. I love living in the city.

God has graciously provided me the opportunity to work at Starbucks to provide some income. So, if you’re ever in the neighborhood stop by the Jenkintown store on 611 (aka Old York Road) in Jenkintown, PA, a tiny suburb of Philly.

  1. Hey Woody! Hope camp went awesome for you this summer! Are you in PA now? How’s life and all that goes along with it? It’s been pretty weird not working at Starbucks. I’m not 100% sure if I’m going back right away. I feel God is pulling me in a new direction. Well hopefully I’ll get to catch up with you sometime soon! Stay sweet and God Bless!
